HOW WE GOT HERE

Nearly fifty years, and still learning your name.

David's started as a barbecue kitchen in Gainesville in the late 1970s, and it became a staple the honest way, by feeding people well for a very long time. Somewhere along the line, couples started asking us to cater their weddings. We found we loved it. So we built a team, a warehouse of décor, and a way of doing the day that treats your wedding like the once-in-a-lifetime thing it is.

MEET BOBBY

Weddings are all he does.

Bobby runs the weddings at David's, and only the weddings. He will meet you for a tasting, sit with you longer than he probably should, walk you through a planning workshop, design your tables, and then be there on the day making sure the two of you never lift a finger. Couples tend to describe him the same way: a one-man band who somehow does it all. Alicia and a team of more than twenty back him up, so nothing rides on one person alone.

The roots are barbecue. The work is your wedding. We take both seriously.
